Non-profit OS [Notion Template]
đź‘‹ Hi there!
My name is Laura and I help startups build mission-driven systems designed to streamline operations, delight stakeholders, reduce staff burnout, and facilitate sustainable growth. 🌱
Why I love managing non-profit teams with Notion:
✏️ Notion allows small teams of people to work together in real-time on documents, tasks, notes, wikis, and databases from different devices.
🏠Notion is a home for all your need-to-knows and need-to-dos (i.e. your single source of truth).
🖼️ Easily embed images, videos, PDFs, and more into every Notion page to bring documents to life.
Psst- don't miss Notion's non-profit discount.
This Non-profit OS template is the product of several iterations of a system I designed for a 100% remote non-profit startup. It is simple, streamlined, automated, and easy to navigate.
The Mission, Vision, and Values page creates a home for your organization’s guiding principles. I love the Values database, not only because it has a visual component, but also because it allows you to document any language or media or press that supports your organization’s values. Imagine if one of your values was "acting on community feedback" and your community feedback page featured summaries of past surveys, focus groups, and town hall meetings that your organization had coordinated. 💡
Consider hosting an OKR workshop with your team to determine your organization’s objectives, key results, and tasks. Start by establishing qualitative objectives that explain what your organization hopes to improve. Next, identify quantitative, measurable key results for each objective. Finally, identify the tasks required to drive progress of these key results. It may feel time-consuming to map out your actions this way, but once it’s done, each team member will have a game plan that is automatically generated on the front page at the start of each day.
